Can I enter a piece in more than one category?

Yes, you can submit the same piece in multiple categories. Please note that the entry fee is due for each category entered.

Can I submit “composite” entries?

Yes. Entries assembled into a composite should all fall into the same category.

How do I send my entry?

We only accept online screeners. When you fill in the entry form, you will be asked for a URL to view your entry online, such as on Vimeo or YouTube. If the work is password protected, enter the password in the “Notes” box during checkout.

How should I prepare my entry?

You entry must be viewable online. Before submitting your entry, we recommend you upload your video or videos to a Vimeo or Youtube account, at the highest recommended bit rate. See Vimeo help for details.

How is judging done?

Entries are judged on a standard of excellence, not against each other.  Entries scoring 9.0 or higher on a 10-point scale qualify for the Pixie Platinum Award. Those scoring 6.0 to 8.9 qualify for the Pixie Gold Award. Judging results are sent by email.

How do winners order awards?

As soon as the judging is complete, all entrants are notified about their entries by email. (Please confirm you’ve typed your email address correctly in your entry!) Winners are allowed to download award laurels for use on your website or in marketing materials. As a winner, you may order statuettes and certificates online. These awards may be personalized as the winner chooses. You may also purchase awards for clients, as well as for the production team.

Do you accept entries from outside the US & Canada?

Yes! We now accept entries from all over the world.

How will winning entries be publicized?

All Pixie Award Winners, both Platinum and Gold, will be listed on our web site and announced in a press release to the industry.  In addition, winning entrants will be provided with a press release, photos of the awards and other items that you can place with your local media, and include on your web site.

Do you offer refunds?

Entry Fees for the Pixie Awards are non-refundable. Statuettes are custom produced, so there are no refunds for these either. Replacements will be given only if the product is defective or damaged in shipping. Contact us for return authorization.

Is there another Pixie Awards?

No. The Pixie Awards is a registered trademark. Back in 2000, a non-related competition for web-based entertainment also using the name Pixie Awards was started in California. The last year for that competition was 2004. We are not connected with that enterprise.
